Recently, the beach received a 21 million dollar renovation to add more concessions, additional free parking, a playground and picnic area. The island is visited by millions of people each year.
Siesta Key has many beach condos that are situated right on the Gulf of Mexico sand; therefore, many are used as investment properties. Select condominiums have a rental program with a management company onsite. Some condominiums allow weekly rentals which is great for vacationers. If you are buying a condo as a rental property please verify all rental policies with the condominium HOA.
Some condos which sit along the beach will have a private beach area reserved for condo owners and renters.
Siesta Key has a wide array of shopping, restaurants and bars along the 8 mile stretch of island, so there is a certain amount of walkability. But if the walk is too far feel free to hop on the Siesta Key trolley, which makes stops all around the island. You can also jump on one of the many golf carts cruising around the island.
